Tennis retail in the US is a mix of specialty tennis shops, club pro shops, big sporting goods chains and running stores that carry court shoes. Specialty shops and pro shops demo racquets for a small fee that is usually credited toward a purchase, and they string racquets on site, typically within a day or two, with string and labor priced separately. Sporting goods chains stock entry-level racquets, balls and apparel at lower prices but rarely offer stringing or fitting advice. Court construction and resurfacing companies serve clubs, schools and homeowners; a hard court is typically resurfaced every five to eight years.

Chris’s 5-week beginner series was exactly what I was looking for. I came in knowing some of the basics of pickleball, but not feeling very confident on the court, and I left feeling so much more comfortable playing with others. He breaks the game down in a way that’s fun and easy to understand, with lots of drills that build skills, confidence, and court awareness. We covered everything from grip and paddle position to footwork, shot selection, and strategy. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking to build a solid foundation and feel more confident getting out and playing.

Chris’s class was great - I knew nothing about the game and I learned a lot in just one session. I would recommend this for anyone interested in learning from ground zero like I was! There were also repeat attendees who enjoyed it so much they came back!

Chris was a great coach and we had a blast. His instructions were clear, fun and engaging the entire 1.5 hours. Class length was perfect, gave us ample time to learn, practice and then play an actual game at the end where we could put everything we learned into action.

Coach Chris is great! He does an excellent job at breaking drills down into small, manageable pieces, and then tying it all together so it actually makes sense in real games. He is very patient, easy to learn from, and explains things in a way that clicks without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. I have noticed improvement in my mechanics, movements, and confidence on the court. If you are newer to pickleball or just want to hone some skills, Coach Chris is the one I would recommend!

I have been working with Chris for about a month now and have greatly improved my game. I have a new serve that is pretty consistent and so much better thanks to Chris. I’m moving about the court better because of Chris’s coaching and I really enjoy doing the drills during our training sessions. With a little more work, I think I can be a pretty decent pickle ball player, and I look forward to continuing to improve through Chris’s teachings.
